Midsummer Revel Jousting
We'll see you in the lists ...

Midsummer Lists

The warm summer breeze washes over you as you make your way towards the sounds of creaking leather, horses stamping over hard packed earth and sand, and the murmurs of the waiting crowd. What will be the Gryphon Lists come the turn of the season to Fall is now the host for the Midsummer Revel Joust.

The stadium is set with wooden bleachers, a vendor hawks cushions for comfort for the well-made wooden seats. Brilliant banners hang from the various sides showing the colors of those that will compete, pennants fly from high poles in royal blue and silver House Colors and snap in the breezes. The Mistress of the Lists has her place in the Noble's box as she announces each rider as they take their place on the field.
Girls and lads in those same royal blue and silver colors move about the crowd handing out refreshments courtesy of the House.

Rules:
Riders get three passes, unless there is a tie or the rider is unmounted.
If the rider becomes unmounted, the win goes to the other automatically.
Each score will be counted even if someone is unmounted, because the blows are simultaneous.
In event of a tie, one more pass is taken. If there is still a tie, the turn ends with both as tied winners.

Scoring Information:
Rides are made using 1d10
1: miss
2-5: glancing blow = 1 point
6-9: shatter lance = 2 points
10: unseat opponent and end contest
